At age 25, I got to celebrate the 10th anniversary of my pun Halloween costumes by winning “Best Pun” at WeeM with my It’s Raining Men costume! I handmade my umbrella using fishing line and pearls from the craft store, and added little action figures that I thrifted to the bottom. Beth asked me to write up the history of my pun costumes for Party Smart, so here it is!
I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed reading the PLAY article in HELL’s M’s October 2025 Party Smart.
A HELL ON WINGS shirt is often gifted by an RG committee member to recognize an unsung hero who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help the event come together. Other times, it’s gifted to someone who provided a much needed shoulder, or a welcome burst of laughter.
Mind Games is one of my favorite annual events. It’s a busy weekend—all member attendees learn, play, and evaluate thirty games over the course of the event.

If you’ve been around HELL’s M’s for more than five minutes, you already know this about me: I love a good party. I love planning them, attending them, and—possibly most of all—I love watching people who were strangers an hour ago suddenly laughing like old friends.

Long-time baseball broadcaster Jack Brickhouse coined the iconic phrase, “the friendly confines of Wrigley Field.” On July First, the night before the start of the 2025 AG in Chicago, that historic 110-year-old ballpark were the friendly confines for 153 M’s attending the HELL’s M’s “Party at the Ballpark” as the Chicago Cubs played the Cleveland Guardians.
